Ingredients
 

  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup Planta margarine melted
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla essence
  • 1/2 cup plain yoghurt
  • 1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder

Instructions
 

  1. Pre-heat oven to 180C and line your loaf pan with some parchment paper.
  2. Melt the Planta margarine in a pot and set aside to cool slightly.
  3. Add the eggs and sugar into a bowl and beat using an electric whisk until pale.
  4. Now add the melted Planta margarine, vanilla essence and yoghurt and beat again.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, baking powder and baking soda.
  6. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until combined.
  7. Pour half the batter into a separate bowl and add cocoa powder to it. Whisk until combined.
  8. Pour alternate scoops of the vanilla and chocolate batter into your loaf pan and then dip a butter knife all the way down and move in a zig zag motion to mix the batters together.
  9. Bake for 35- 40 minutes or until a skewer inserted in the middle comes out clean.
  10. Let it cool for 30 minutes before slicing.
