- 70 g Planta Professional Multipurpose Margarine
- 25 g plain flour
- 400 ml milk of choice
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika powder
- 120 g cheddar
- 120 g mozzarella
- 250 g macaroni pasta
- 50 g panko breadcrumbs
- 50 gram panko breadcrumbs
- In a pot of boiling water, add 1 tablespoon of salt and all of the macaroni. Boil for 6 minutes, drain and set aside.
- In a wide pot over medium heat, add 50g Planta Professional Multipurpose Margarine and heat until melted. Add in plain flour and mix well until a smooth roux forms. Cook until lightly browned.
- Add in milk, mix well and bring to a boil. Season with salt and paprika. Add in cheddar and mozzarella and mix until melted and smooth.
- Add in the cooked macaroni and mix evenly.
- In a pan over medium heat, melt 20g Planta Professional Multipurpose Margarine. Add in the panko breadcrumbs and fry until golden brown.
- Scoop the macaroni and cheese into a serving dish, top off with fried breadcrumbs and serve.
